ABOUT ME AND MY WORK

LPCC 16582 | Licensed in the State of California.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. As a therapist, I’m passionate about providing support, encouragement, and advocacy to those navigating life’s challenges.

One theme I see often in my work—and one I care deeply about—is self-worth. Self-worth is your sense of inherent value and worthiness, yet so many people come to therapy struggling with a distorted perception of it. This impacts how you think, feel, and act—leading to anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, people-pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, and negative self-talk.

But here’s what I want you to know: You are deserving of love, respect, and fulfillment simply because you exist—not because of what you do or how others see you.

I created my practice to help individuals like you build a strong, internal belief in your own worth. My goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted—a space where you can make mistakes, take chances, set goals, and learn to see yourself with compassion.

I’m here to walk alongside you as you step into the fullest, most authentic version of yourself!

THE POPULATION I WORK WITH

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and depression among adolescents and young adults. My areas of focus include addressing issues such as relational concerns, people-pleasing, perfectionism, guilt and shame, self-harm, disordered eating, and life transitions. As noted above, I am extremely passionate about helping individuals build their self-worth, self-confidence, and self-compassion.

WHAT I AM LIKE AS A THERAPIST

Central to my work is the establishment of authentic connections. I believe in the power of relationships and recognize that the relationship we create is the primary factor for positive change and growth in the therapy process. Whether in-person or virtually, I enter the therapy room as a genuine version of myself. This means I am relaxed, friendly, and open. While maintaining professionalism and adhering to all rules and responsibilities, I strive to create a casual and relatable demeanor.

MY APPROACH AND MY CLINICAL GUIDE

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood (and hopefully at times you have fun too!). My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate insight-oriented therapy with evidence-based techniques to help you navigate anxiety, self-doubt, and overwhelming emotions.

At the core of my work is a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, meaning I see you as the expert in your own life and meet you with empathy, authenticity, and respect. I draw from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge negative thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation and distress tolerance, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you align your actions with your values, and Parts work to help you understand and integrate the different “parts”of yourself.

I also incorporate relational and psychodynamic approaches to explore how past experiences shape your current struggles, especially in relationships and self-perception. Together, we’ll work to uncover and shift patterns that no longer serve you, helping you build a stronger sense of self-worth and confidence.

Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about creating lasting change. Whether you need practical coping strategies, space to process emotions, or guidance in setting healthier boundaries, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be.

MY VALUES

CONNECTION

I’m eager to get to know you—the little things that make you, you: your favorite color, your pet’s name, your go-to song, and that movie you can’t stop watching. I believe these details are just as important as understanding why you came to therapy. To me, authentic connection means embracing every part of who you are. Plus, research shows that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most significant factors in achieving positive outcomes in therapy.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality is the foundation of a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. It fosters honesty, respect, trust, and autonomy, allowing you to share openly without fear of judgment or exposure. Everything you share with me remains strictly private, with a few important exceptions required by law for your safety and the safety of others. These exceptions will be clearly explained during our first session, ensuring you feel informed and secure as we begin our work together.

INTEGRITY

I believe integrity is essential to building a strong and positive therapeutic relationship. It means upholding the highest ethical and legal standards while being honest, reliable, and trustworthy in all aspects of our work together.

COLLABORATION

Collaboration is key to creating an empowering and effective therapeutic experience. I believe you bring valuable insights and perspectives about your life and challenges, and integrating these into our work is essential. By collaborating, we build a partnership where you have a sense of control and ownership over your journey. This approach ensures you feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported every step of the way.

TRUST

I am committed to creating a space that is empathetic, compassionate, and open—a place where you feel safe and supported to explore even the most vulnerable parts of yourself. My goal is to cultivate a relationship built on trust, where you can express yourself freely and embark on a journey of growth and self-discovery with confidence and security.

RESPECT

Respect is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. I deeply honor your autonomy and your right to make decisions about your life and therapy. Together, we strive to empower you with a strong sense of agency and control over your journey. Your feelings, opinions, and boundaries are not only valued but central to our work. My goal is to cultivate a relationship dynamic that is healthy, supportive, and deeply fulfilling.
